Wir freuen uns, ihn euch mit einem kleinen Interview vorstellen zu können:)

 

 

At what age did you start playing badminton?
My first steps on the badminton court were when I was only 6 years old. It was a really crucial moment in my life, because I fell immediately in love with this sport. My first coach was an impressive and inspiring person and he taught me some of the most important skills so I will always have him in my heart.

Whats your biggest success so far?
My biggest success so far was in 2013 when I got the first place in The Balkan badminton championship among men and women. It was not only the most exciting moment in my life, but the most challenging too. This is because I got a leg injury at the time and I have to overcome great pain in order to win the competition.

Where do you live?
I'm currently living and studying in Sofia. I'm also preparing for my future competitions here.

Where would you like to be living in the future?
I'm not sure about how to answer that because I'm traveling a lot and I like many countries, so to choose only one is not an easy task.

What are you doing besides playing badminton?
Now, I'm studying at the Bulgarian national sports academy for a professional badminton coach. In my spare time I also enjoy meeting friends or just relaxing at home.

What book do you recommend?
I prefer books about healthy lifestyle and balanced diets because I think that they are an extremely important part of every sportsman's daily routine. I deffinitely recommend "The zone diet" written by Barry Sears. It's a book that'll teach you the proper eating habits and how to adopt healthier lifestyle.

Who did impress you the most so far?
As a competitor I'm greatly impressed by Lin Dan who is the best badminton player of all time. I believe that he should be a role model for every young badminton player because of the strength of his will and motivation.

What do you like about Basel?
Basel is an amazing city. I'm impressed by it's beautiful architecture and green parks, which are the perfect place for jogging. The people here are really very polite and friendly.

What animal describes you the best?
Maybe a wolf, because it's driven by the passionate desire to be free, just like me. It's also very physically strong and persistent when it want to defeat its enemies.

What's your dream?
My biggest dream is to become one of the best badminton players in Europe and why not in the world? I'm training really hard and I'll put all my efforts into making my dreams come true.
